Group Facilitation
“The CDRC representative helped facilitate large
meetings, ensuring all voices were heard while
creating an environment that diffused tension and
encouraged positive discussion and problem-solving.”
- Ithaca Sports Team Member
Group Facilitation applies the theoretical premises and skills of mediation in a group setting. Each facilitation is customized to be an open, transparent and inclusive process. Facilitation respects the voluntary nature of the individual, the confidential nature of the process and the complexity of situations that are best addressed collaboratively.
“CDRC’s Workplace Facilitation provided a safe forum
in which to share concerns, reach a level of understanding
and improve work relationships; essentially bringing healing.”
- Local Agency Director
Examples of Group Facilitation Include:
· Local community Meet the Candidates forum moderated by a CDRC facilitator
· CDRC facilitates a process for a local sports team that supported listening to concerns and devising revisions for policy, procedure and codes of conduct
· County Agency staff and administration address inter-personal and work-style concerns through a series of listening and brainstorming sessions facilitated by CDRC
“The meeting was well run and order was maintained.
These meetings are not the easiest to get people to conduct
themselves in a civilized manner. The CDRC moderator
was able to get the people to remain respectful and it
turned- out very well.”
- Local Town Supervisor
“We were getting nowhere fighting it out with Management.
CDRC showed us how to talk it out instead and we found
a resolution we could all live with.”
- Local Union President
