Adult Volunteer Mediators
How people can become mediators and help others work through conflict
The core of CDRC conflict resolution instruction involves effective communication,
personal conflict management skills and deep listening. CDRC periodically offers mediator
trainings throughout the three counties we serve. These intensive, interactive mediator
trainings build personal and professional skills in communication, reflection,
and conflict resolution - and they prepare participants to mediate
cases as a CDRC volunteer mediator.
Learning to mediate is often described as a transformative experience. Mediators
well understand that there is nothing more empowering than the ability
to empower others.
CDRC mediator training equips people with the tools to help others in conflict
to work through their disputes independently. To learn more about becoming
